Active Substance: Didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) & Polyhexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride (PHMB)

03 DDAC

Features

A combination chemistry of Didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC), a quaternary ammonium compound (commonly referred to as a QAC or Quat) and PHMB, Polyhexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride. DDAC is an effective and widely used antiseptic/disinfectant found in many biocidal applications. It causes disruption of intermolecular interactions and dissociation of lipid bilayers. PHMB target and disrupts cell’s outer and cytoplasmic membranes leading to cell death. The chemistry has broad spectrum bactericidal and fungicidal activity and is intended for use as a surface disinfectant in hospital and istitutional environments.

Active Substance: Isopropanol (IPA)

Features

Isopropanol is commonly used as a disinfectant and as an antiseptic. It has limited residual activity due to evaporation, which results in brief contact times unless the surface is submerged, and have a limited activity in the presence of organic material. Alcohols are most effective when combined with purified water to facilitate diffusion through the cell membrane. A mixture of 70% isopropanol diluted in water is effective against a wide spectrum of bacteria.

07 Hydrogen Peroxide

Features

Medipal High level disinfectant solution uses stabilised Hydrogen Peroxide as an active ingredient. The disinfection mechanism of hydrogen peroxide is based on the decomposition of micro-organisms by free oxygen radicals during the oxidation process.  A powerful oxidiser, Hydrogen Peroxide has rapid, broad spectrum antimicrobial efficacy, leaving only water as a residue. It is effective against C.diff spores and is designed for hospital disinfection particularly during outbreaks or in particularly high risk areas.

 

Active Substance: Chlorhexidine

Features

Chlorhexidine is a cationic polybiguanide (bisbiguanide). It is commonly used in disinfectants for the skin and hands, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products. The bactericidal effect is a result of the binding of this cationic molecule to negatively charged bacterial cell walls. At low concentrations of chlorhexidine, this results in a bacteriostatic effect; at high concentrations, membrane disruption results in cell death. Chlorhexidine, like other cation-active compounds, remains on the skin, providing residual antimicrobial activity.

Medipal Detergent cleaning solution is formulated using environmentally friendly and VOC free ingredients. The specially designed formula contains surfactants and a naturally derived ingredient which removes contamination from surfaces leaving them clean and streak free. The formulation is maintained at a skin balanced pH and is dermatologically tested to ensure skin safety for frequent users.

Active Substance: Vitamins B5 & E, Aloe Vera

08 Patient cleansing

Features

Medipal Patient Cleansing solution is designed by our in house experts who have carefully blended gentle skin friendly cleansers in combination with vitamin B5, vitamin E and extracts of Aloe Vera which help keep skin clean, fresh and nourished. The formulation is maintained at a skin balanced pH and is dermatologically tested.
