Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first line advice to all People Managers & respond to all queries in a timely and engaging way.
  • Develop modern, robust people practices and procedures that make the People Team easy to ‘do businesses with.
  • Coordinate key people activities such as annual pay review, PRP and manager’s legal updates and coordinate ad-hoc activities as required.
  • Provide a high-quality, confidential people support and advice service to colleagues globally.
  • Coach and inspire our people managers to apply best-practice people management practices that are aligned to our culture and ways of working.
  • Ensure our people systems and records are accurate and up to date and generate timely reports to support decision-making.
  • Suggest and contribute to the implementation of continuous improvements of our people support service.
  • Deliver a proactive recruitment, selection, and onboarding support service for all vacancies across the business, coaching and guiding hiring managers on best practice selection and engagement techniques and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Research and coordinate appropriate management and colleague development solutions in collaboration stakeholders.
  • Assist the finance department with relevant data sets to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Maintain colleague files and ensure compliance with GDPR requirements.
  • Provide people managers with support for first line colleague relations cases including disciplinary and grievance investigations, absence management and performance management.
  • Support the wider strategy by leading on and supporting key people-related projects that enable cultural, skills and organisational development.

The above is an indicative list of the main responsibilities, however, it’s by no means exhaustive, so we may change/review these in line with business requirements as and when we need to.

Would suit someone who:

  • Is CIPD qualified, degree qualified or degree-calibre (meaning experience that shows the intellectual capability to research and develop ideas and present these in a convincing and articulate way)
  • Has a high level of numeracy and literacy, ideally above GCSE Grade C/Grade 4
  • Has an up to date knowledge of employment legislation and its application in order to provide sound advice.
  • Has prior HR delivery experience working in a People Team/HR Operations
  • Is computer literate, adept at using Microsoft Office suite and HR systems
  • Is systematic and rational at decision making, even under pressure, using facts and acknowledging the business direction or problem to avoid ambiguity.
  • Has strong oral and written communication skills to create simple yet relevant documents and papers.
  • Has great organisational skills – project planning/management skills are desirable.
  • Shows courage to constructively challenge how we do things and make suggestions for the better.
  • Works collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, seeing past hierarchy, and can coach, guide and inspire them to be at their best.
  • Is resilient and confident to deal with a variety of people and issues.
  • Loves being busy and always finds something to do to improve the experience further.
  • Is results and detail orientated to ensure that delivery support is both timely and accurate.
