Our family-owned company in Lutterworth are recruiting for a packing operative to join our production team on an ongoing basis, with the opportunity of permanent employment for the right candidate.  Rotational shifts – Week 1 - Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm, Friday 6am to 12.30pm, Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10pm, Friday 12.30pm to 7pm, with the possibility of overtime if workload allows.

As a Packer, you will be

  • Responsible for individual production quantities and maintaining the required standard of quality using ISO 9002 procedures of manufacture
  • Packing product to standards required, following written instructions
  • Carrying out routine quality checks during production and recording the results
  • Ensuring all raw materials are cleared from the previous job, before starting the next
  • Labelling and counting components as required and move to correct RTS area
  • Ensuring that the Company’s Health and Safety Policy is complied with and continually improving general Health & Safety awareness
  • Ensuring that hygiene standards are maintained at all times in the workplace
  • Achieving production targets and ensuring waste is weighed off and recorded
  • Achieving production changeover targets

As a Packer, you will be able to:

  • Work on a rotational shift pattern, 8 hour shifts, with a shorter shift on a Friday
  • Work as part of a diverse team and have willingness to learn in an autonomous role
  • Show basic numerical, reading and computer skills
  • Understand written and spoken English, follow verbal and written instructions
  • Be proactive and take initiative to escalate issues
  • Show accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail
  • Have excellent adherence to all site standards
  • Thrive in a busy environment and enjoy repetitive work
