Terms & Conditions

1. General

This website is operated by Pal International Ltd., also trading as Pal Direct.co.uk (referred to as "Pal International/Pal Direct/we/our/us"). As a user of this website (referred to as "you/your") you acknowledge that any use of this website including any transactions you make ("use/using") is subject to our terms and conditions below. Please read through these terms and conditions carefully before using this website.

  1. We reserve the right for reasons of continuous improvement, to make changes to the items shown on this website and in our current catalogue.

    In order for us to update and improve our range, we reserve the right to remove selected products from time to time.

2. Order Process

  1. All orders that you place on this website will be subject to acceptance in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  2. The ‘Confirm Order’ stage sets out the final details of your order. Following this, we will send you an order acknowledgement by email detailing the Pal product(s) you have ordered from Pal Direct. Please note that this email does not constitute an order confirmation or order acceptance from Pal Direct.
  3. Acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and us will take place on despatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it.

3. Prices and Payment

  1. All prices quoted on Pal Direct exclude carriage and VAT. Any applicable carriage and VAT is payable by the customer in addition to the contract price.
  2. Payment is made using the SECPay service which is a specialist on-line processor of secure, real-time, online credit and debit card transactions. We undertake not to take or retain any details of your credit or debit cards at any time during your use of this website.
  3. We take payment from your card at the time we receive your order, once we have checked your card details. Goods are subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A full refund will be given where you have already paid for the goods.
  4. We will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but unless we are negligent, we cannot be held liable for any losses caused as a result of unauthorised access to information provided by you.

4. Delivery and Cancellation

  1. Delivery is made to your premises or personal address.
  2. Please allow up to 5 working days for delivery. We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales; however, delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales. If we anticipate any delivery taking longer than expected we will notify you by email.
  3. For each order placed in the UK and Northern Ireland, there is a delivery charge of £5 per order for products under the value of £50. For products over £50, delivery is free. We reserve the right to alter the delivery charge without prior notice in case of increase in costs to us by our delivery service. There is currently no delivery charge for delivery for dairy teat wipe products, regardless of size of order.
  4. Should the goods arrive damaged you must notify us by email within 3 working days of receiving the items. Our liability in respect of any claim is limited at our option to replacement of the goods or refund of the price and does not extend to any indirect or consequential loss.
  5. You may cancel your order in accordance with your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased on the Pal Direct website within 7 days of receipt of goods, for a refund (excluding carriage charges – see below). To cancel you can contact us within 7 days of delivery of your items, quoting full details. You must take reasonable care of the items and must not use them. All goods must be unopened and in perfect condition. We unconditionally reserve the right to not refund if the goods are not returned in perfect condition. If your goods have not been dispatched, we will arrange for a refund to the card you used to purchase the goods. If your order has been dispatched, you will be charged for the cost of carriage on the original delivery.

CREDIT CUSTOMER TRADING PROCEDURE

5. Order Process

  1. Orders can be placed via logging into your own area of the Pal website by inputting your user name and password, if you are already an approved Credit Customer of Pal International Ltd.
  2. Placing your orders on-line will entitle you to a 2% discount off the total value of your order (applicable to order values up to £500).

6. Credit Control Policy

  1. Before opening any credit facilities, we will carry out a full credit check. Until this is completed, goods may only be purchased on a pro-forma or card payment basis.
  2. A credit limit will be allocated when your account is opened and any orders in excess of this value may be delayed until there is sufficient credit available, or a remittance is received to cover the value of the order.
  3. Standard trading terms and conditions apply, including:

      UK

  • Orders above £250, carriage is free
  • Orders below £250 a sliding scale of delivery charges apply as follows:
    • £20 surcharge for all orders up to £125, excluding VAT
    • £15 surcharge for all orders above £125 up to the minimum order value, carriage paid of £250, excluding VAT

    Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland (effective as of 1st September 2008)

    • Orders above £500 (€ equivalent) excluding VAT and local taxes
    • £50 surcharge for all orders below £500
  • Standard 72 hour delivery.
  • Next day and timed deliveries are available at an additional surcharge.
  • Invoices are payable by cheque, BACS, Visa, MasterCard or Switch.
  1. All invoices are due for payment thirty days from invoice date.
  2. If payment is not received within ten working days of due date, we reserve the right to place your account on stop and suspend supply.
  3. Should your account enter a continually slow payment cycle, the credit facility may be withdrawn and any future business accepted on a pro-forma or card payment basis only.
  4. Prices are subject to change - In the current uncertain climate, in particular with spiralling energy costs and ever increasing raw materials both in Europe and Asia, we are unable to offer any fixed validity on these prices. As always, we will endeavour to minimize the effects of the global increase in prices as and when possible.

7. Delivery Policy

Our aim is to ensure your order reaches you in perfect condition and on time. In the unlikely event of your delivery being incorrect (for example short or damaged deliveries), please follow these guidelines so that we can rectify matters without delay:

  1. Check the delivery upon receipt and sign for the goods.
  2. If there is a problem, note it on the delivery document, then sign it and ask the driver to countersign.
  3. Contact your Sales Co-ordinator at Oadby immediately on 01455 555 700, who will provide you with further instructions.
  4. Goods must not be returned until authorised by your Sales Co-ordinator and a Pal Collection Note is issued. Goods returned without a Pal Collection Note will not be accepted.
  5. In cases where goods have been damaged during or prior to their delivery, please contact your Sales Co-ordinator to arrange for collection and re-delivery. A new invoice will be raised for the replacement stock and the previous invoice will be credited once we receive the damaged goods.
  6. If you are unable to check or count the delivery upon receipt, please sign it as being unchecked and check the goods within three days, advising the Sales Co-ordinator of any problems immediately.

ALL CLAIMS MADE 72 HOURS OR MORE AFTER RECEIPT, CANNOT BE ACCEPTED

8. Intellectual Property

You acknowledge and agree that all copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all materials and/or content made available as part of your use of this website shall remain at all times vested in us. You are permitted to use this material only as expressly authorised by us.

9. Liability and Indemnity

Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which may not otherwise be limited or excluded under applicable law.

10. Miscellaneous Provisions

The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England.
