Pal International Limited recognises its responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy environment and we will endeavour to attain sound environmental performance through a proactive environmental management system, which will be integrated into overall business activity. We will minimise significant environmental impacts and ensure legal compliance. The aims of the policy statement will be achieved by clearly outlining management responsibilities and promoting employee involvement through increased awareness, training and instruction. Environmental objectives will be set to achieve continual improvements and the company will adopt the principle of "prevention is better than cure". Our activities will strive to avoid polluting the environment we live in and we will take all reasonable steps to prevent pollution at its source. We will avoid hazardous processes or materials wherever suitable alternatives are available. We will aim to conserve natural resources by minimizing the use of nonrenewable materials, by recycling materials, minimizing energy use and by using recycled products and packaging. We will continually reduce waste and losses by being efficient. We will ascertain the environmental standards of all our suppliers and contractors and we will endeavour to encourage them to improve their environmental performance where appropriate. We will regularly audit our compliance with legislation and with this policy, measure progress and continually improve wherever economically practicable. |
